We chose the name Rising Tide Tattoo because of our belief in the axiom "A rising tide lifts all boats," a phrase that speaks to the power of community, and the importance of empathy and compassion in navigating the collective fate that binds us all together on the stormy seas of life.
Our team of tattoo artists and piercers are not only talented professionals, they also embody the philosophy that our industry needs to ride the wave of positive change, to embrace inclusivity and a culture that welcomes everyone pursuing self-expression through body art.

Our experienced artists offer a full range of tattoo styles, including black and grey, delicate fineline, portrait, photo realism, American and Japanese traditional, and full color illustrative.
Ear piercings are available for ages 7 and up, nose and cartilage piercings for ages 12 and up, a wide selection of piercings for ages 14 and up, and more advanced and intimate piercings for those 18+.

Our team of artists and piercers is a talented collective of individuals from diverse backgrounds, working together to bring your artistic style to life through the medium of body art. Whether its your first time with us, or you’re one of our regulars, we welcome every client into a safe, clean, and professional environment, and do everything we can to help make the process of getting a tattoo or piercing as easy and comfortable as possible. We pride ourselves on the fact that the vast majority of our clientele are repeat customers, who have been with their artist or piercer for many years, and keep coming back to us time and again. Matt has been tattooing professionally for 20 years, and has seen the evolution of the industry from the inside out. A native of North County San Diego, Matt previously owned Three Aces Tattoo in Escondido, where he became well versed in a wide range of styles, including American and Japanese Traditional, black and grey realism, blackout work, and full color illustrative tattoos. From small to large pieces, Matt has mastered a wide variety of skills and styles that makes him our most experienced and versatile artist.
HALEY ROGERS.
Haley Rogers has had the good fortune to work alongside some of the best and most talented artists in the local tattoo community. Haley's specialty is bright and bold, full-color saturation, across a variety of styles, with an emphasis on illustrative, flora and fauna, as well as cartoon and comic panel art. Clients looking for pieces inspired by pop-culture references, such as movies and video games will appreciate Haley's ability to bring these vibrant pieces to life. She also strives to create a safe, welcoming environment for anyone getting tattooed in her chair.
LAURA LOWERY.
Laura has translated a background in mixed media art, and a remarkable talent for wood burning, into a career as a professional tattoo artist. She specializes in animal portrait realism, delicate fineline, and black and grey traditional pieces. Her favorite subject matter is the American Southwest, and she has a particular love for the flora and fauna of that geography, which she often brings to life as beautiful tattoo landscapes.

Trained and mentored by two local legends in the tattoo and piercing industry, with over 35 years of combined professional experience between them, Ollie the Impaler brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to their piercing practice. With a formal educational background in anthropology and philosophy, Ollie has a deep love and appreciation for the history of body modification, and its various manifestations as a form of personal, and cultural expression. Prior to opening Rising Tide Tattoo in San Marcos, CA, Ollie the Impaler pierced with Fatkid Tattoo and Grand Legacy Tattoo in Escondido, CA, and Locally Famous Tattoo in San Marcos, CA.
Ollie the Impaler has 8 years of experience as a professional body piercer, has performed over 10,000 career piercings, and is exclusively 5-Star rated on Yelp and Google in every shop they have worked in over the past 8 years.
We offer a full range of basic body piercings for the whole family, from kids earlobe piercings for ages 7 and up, nose and cartilage piercings for ages 12 and up, a wide selection of body piercings for ages 14 and up, to more advanced and intimate piercings for ages 18+.
